"You must be so pleased with Big Brown winning. I hope that it was a profitable day for you. I was tentative in my betting in the Derby race because I thought it was a difficult race to bet. I had most of my Derby money, however, across the board on Big Brown. Thanks for the tip.

As I told you, I knew something about handicapping, but I still considered myself a novice. I used the OMH ideas when betting the races. I found that the OMH principles let me be more methodical in my approach to handicapping the races. In particular it helped me absorb all the information that the DRF was giving me and that I had been missing over the years. It helped me hit a trifecta in one race and a very profitable exacta in another. All in all, it was the first year (in 11 going to the Derby) that I had more money in my pocket leaving the track than when I walked in. With mint julips going for $9 a glass, that is really saying something.
